Gypsy Family at Ilasco, MO.
Pictured here is a gypsy family who has parked its wagon and set up a tent near Ilasco, Mo. Gypsies had negative reputations and were seldom welcome in a community so this family probably moved on after a few days. As towns went, Ilasco was slightly more accommodating than nearby Hannibal.
